Review: The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil.

We all know what embarassament pimples can cause. I am not really suffering with a lot of pimples, but when I get one it's normally so big that I consider wearing a bag on my head. Which isn't very comvenient, right? I was therefore on the hunt for a miracle worker, when a pimple has decided to accompany me. I have talked about using Lush's Mask of Magnaminty and Fresh Farmacy when my skin is acting up, but I needed something on top of that. I stumbled upon the Tea Tree Oil by The Body Shop in their shop. It retails for £6 and you get 10 ml. Expensive you may think, but you only need a tiny bit on your Q-tip and then put it on yout pimple.  It does not do any miracle, but it dries out the pimple and after about a day to two, my pimple is almost non-existent.

I'd say it's worth a try, but it isn't going to leave you pimple free over night. The smell is unpleasant too, but it's the smell of tea tree oil, and when using such a tiny amount, bearable. I wouldn't recomend this if you have a lot of pimples, but if you as me only suffer with one once in a while, give it a try. Maybe share the price with other family members, because as said, it will last forever.

Review: The Body Shop - Vitamin E Moisture Serum

The Serum is from the body shop and costs 21 USD, according to the website.
I'll first just tell you what it claims to do (this is copied from TBS website):

 Best if you want to: Smooth and refine your skin with a concentrated pre-moisturizer that also     protects it from harmful environmental elements.

         How it works:

• Vitamin E, wheat germ oil and rice bran oil help moisturize, nourish and conditions skin, while protecting against premature aging and environmental aggressors.
• Tara bush seed extract helps promote both immediate and long-term hydration.
• Organic Community Trade honey moisturizes and conditions the skin.  

First, the serum is not exactly cheap if you're on a budget, but you only need one pump for your whole face and neck. I am therefore sure that it will last quite a while even if you want to use it twice a day, which I am currently doing.
It leaves my skin smooth and helps to lock in the moisture as well as it conditions, not like a moisturizer, but I was surprised by how much it actually helped my skin to stay conditioned even if I did not put on a moisturizer(I was in a hurry and forgot it. haha). Anyway, I can't say if it has helped against aging or/and environmental agressors but I am sure time will show. Haha.
The smell and consistency is lovely (smell isn't really existent, actually, which is nice)

All in all, this Serum is worth the money and I would recommend it to everyone who suffers with dry skin. Speaking of dry skin, I've had a patch of reallyreallyreally dry skin on my chin/neck and this serum has made it less noticable and more moistured. Though, the dry patch is still there - but nothing compared to how it was before I used this serum)

What a lovely day it is today, or not! It is so rainy it's crazy. I needed a bit of a pick me up moment due to the weather and decided to take a shower and use this little sucker and it indeed did pick me up. It's the Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub by The Body Shop. This one is the smaller one and retails for about £5.
Not only does this scrub really scrub off dead cells, it smells heavenly of grapefruit. It's a bit rough on your skin due to the big beads, or seeds or whatever, therefore it's not for daily use, but it's amazing when used once or twice a week. It doesn't do anything but to scrub off dead skin cells, but sometimes, that's all I ask for.
A little goes a long way and I am sure that this one will be with me for quite a few months. All in all, this product is creat and worth the money.

Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo by The Body Shop

Let me talk about something most of us know, but doesn't want to talk about....

I have always suffered with dandruff and after using head and shoulders for a long time (it always worked fine, but I was getting tired of the smell) I thought I'd try something new. A friend of mine recomended this one. It's from The Body Shop and contains ginger. Now, when I heard that I thought EEEEW. I hate ginger, alot, but I gave it a try and I like it. It's not amazing but it does its job. 

The smell is not the best (Ginger, I tell you, Ginger) but it doesn't linger and is therefore no problem for me. I think it lasts well for the price, £7.00, since I've had mine for over 5 months now. 

I started off by using it everyday and once I had a grip on the dandruff I used it everyother day. I now only use it twice a week and my hair is almost dandruff free. The only downside (though, a big one) is that it dries out my hair. To prevent this I use a moisturising mask once a week, which makes my hair abit more managable. :) However I am still on the hunt for some miracle worker, until then, I might keep on using this.

Earth Lovers Cucumber and Mint by The Body Shop

Just a short review on the shower from The Body Shop's Earth Lovers range and I must honestly admit, I would never have bought this myself.
I got because I'd used a spicific amount of money that day, and after a few uses, I enjoy it. It smells of cucmbers, which I had not thought possible, and it smells of mint just as it claims. It picks me up in the morning and calms me in the evening which is perfect. It lathers well and the scent lingers for about two hours. It is one of those scents that just grows on you, and after a while, you love it. I am going to pick up some of the others from the Earth Lovers range.
I do think it's a bit expensive (£7.5 or something along the line), but it is worth the price since the scent is nothing I've ever smelled and I don't think you can get something similiair around where I live.
You should definetly pick it up when you like the scent of cucumbers and mint or if you're just looking for something unusual.
