Let me start with a summary: Zoey's life changed from well-ordered to more or less destructive when her father cheats on her mother and gets his lover - only a few years older than Zoey- pregnant. When her mother tries to commit suicide, she loses her virginity to a womanizer to cover her shock. A few days later, car crash makes Zoey loose her memory of the night before and leaves her wondering what happened between her and her, nemesis, Dough.

I loved Jennifer Echols book 'Love Story' which left me with high expectations for her other books. This one could, sadly, not live up to my expectation.
It was good, and it was no waste of time to read it, but it just didn't catch me like Love Story did.
I didn't feel like I could identify myself with Zoey, which isn't particular bad. I just wish I could.
I also wish that the whole issue with both Zoey's and Dough's parents would play a bigger role in the book, since it was writing material. I liked the concept of Zoey loosing her memory and enjoyed the way Jennifer Echols decided to build Dough and Zoey's relationship.
One thing is for sure though, Jennifer Echols writes beautifully and I am sure you will enjoy reading this book even though it could not liv up to Love Story.
So pick it up when you stumble upon it.
