The Fashion Tag

Tag time, and this time it's a fashion tag. I am definetely not a fashion girl. Partly because of my size and the fact that I barely can find pretty clothes in my size - second because if I find pretty clothes in my size they tend to be too expensive for me to buy. Sucks big time.
However, if not for my body size and the clothes price I quite like fashion. So here we go.

1. How would you describe your style? I can't settle on a specific style. I have days where I love the grunge style and then days where I love girly. I am not really able to say which one is my style because it varies.
2.What are your wardrobe staples? A black skater dress. It's a versatile item that can be whatever you want it to when you just change the accesories.
3.Most expensive item in your closet? It's the dress I wore this post. It was about £50. Doesn't sound too expensive, but I only tend to spend about £15 for one item so this is my most expensive item in my closet.
4.Most wanted item? A velvet dress. I've wanted one for ages and finally saw it in New Look before christmas. It went directly on my wishlist. It was sold out before my parents had the chance to buy it. /:
5.Favorite designer? I am not really into designers so I can't answer this question.
6. How much do you spend on clothes? Not alot. As mentioned in 3.
7.What are your favorite places to shop? If I had the money it would be modcloth.com. I love their clothes. But since I don't it's Primark in the UK or online shopping in either asos.com or newlook.com.
8.Favorite fragrance? Marc Jacobs - Daisy and Lancome - Touch of Pink. I also love Chanel - Chance.
9.Whats your favorite way to do your hair? At the moment it is in a plain bun, but normally it's loose.
10.What is your go-to outfit when you have no idea what to wear? Dress & leggins. It is pretty much the only thing I wear.
11.One fashion trend you wish would come back or stay: I want creepers to stay. Haha, I think they are cute. Although I don't own any and many will disagree.

My Lipstick and Gloss collection.

Picture #1

Picture #2

And Picture #3 in a different lighting

Picture #4

My lip collection is rather small, even though I am quite fond of lipsticks. I tend to skip buying makeup because of the price. Makeup in Denmark is freakishly expensive, and I just don't have the money to buy it. Since I've discovered and become old enough to shop online and from the UK, my collection grows. Still, I am not one to buy it spontaniously and out of the blue. Hmm, enough rambling  let me get started.

Picture #1 shows the colours of my lipstick, the second picture is the lipstick itself, it's in the same order just not turned the right way. Haha. The bottom of picture #1 corresponds to the left of picture #2. The colours are as followed and from left to right (bottom to top).  //MAC Cremesheen in Creme Cup//MAC Frost in Angel//MAC Amplified in Haute Altitude//Barry M in 54// Barry M in 37// Barry M in TMLP// Rival De Loop in 40// Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey Douce// CoolCos Lip Gloss Pencil (There's no name for the colour)

Picture #2 Shows my teeny tiny gloss collection. Again it's the same order, the names are mentioned from left to right. //LR Lip gloss in 3// The Body Shop Hi-Shine Treatment in Cherry Glimmer// MAC Dazzleglass in Euro Beat// Urban Decay Pocket Rocket in Timothy//

Now, the black lipstick was a fail, one big fail. I thought I had the right colour in my hand and you can only see the Barry M colours when you open it. Upps. The green Barry M lipstick is wonderful and reacts to your body heat. Don't be fooled by the colour. It will turn pink once applied and the intencity depends on your body heat. All my MAC lipsticks are VERY similair. Only the Haute Altitude is darker than Creme Cup and Angel. Yeah, I don't like to wear any of the glosses shown. They are too sticky, although the Urban Decay one is too cute and the colour is pretty. I litterally hate the Dazzleglass one, it's so uncomfortable to wear. They might have changed the formular since I bought my dazzleglass, I can therefore not say if the new dazzleglasses are the same. If MAC still sells them, that is. :D Haha.

Will you be my Valentine?

This is the first post in my valentine series. As I mentioned in the other post I wrote, these are things I've found on the internet. I can't take credits for one single thing. Anyhow, today's post is 5 ideas for your breakfast. How cute would it be to wake up to these, or let your one true love (or someone similair) wake up to these ideas?
It's valentine's day, so you can go all out and make heart out of everything. Go for it!

Credits
1. Heart shaped bacon can be found on The Paper Mama 's blog.
2.Heart shaped eggs, find them on 9gag.
3. Heart shaped whipped cream, I can't find the source. However, it's easy to make just spread whipped cream on a cookie sheat, in the freezer with it and now you can make heart out of it.
4. Milk cubes, heart shaped, find them on A Subtle Revelry's blog.
5. And try Parent's cute heart shaped fruit.

January Favorites.

Another month has passed, and hell it went fast. Now that I am in my very last semester of High School, time flies by. I have so much to do and end up only doing half of it. Yeah, it's terrible. Anyhow, it's time for monthly favorites. I haven't been wearing loads of makeup in January and if I have been wearing it, I wore neautrals. Boring I know.

As for makeup, I have many lip products this month. I am not quite sure why I've been so into lips, but it's just been the product I've varied this month. The first product is Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey Douce, I have a review on my blog which can be seen here. It's perfect for an easy on the go application if you're in a hurry and it stays on quite a long time. Another lip favourite is the Barry M Lipstick. I can't read the name of it, but it's the green one. Now, don't be fooled by the colour shown. As soon as it has been applied, it gets pink. It's a bit more pink than the Revlon Balm Stain and the next product in my lip favourite, but it is a really pretty colour. I like to wear it in the evening when I want to dress up a little. The next lipstick (and the last) is MAC's Amplified in Haute Altitude. My sister send me this with a cute note that said Just because you're the best older sister ever. I am so grateful to haver her as my sister (just as my other siblings, haha) The colour is along the line of Revlon's Honey Douce and is another example of your lips but better. However, it is more pigmented that the Honey Douce and the colour slightly different.
Enough has been said about the lip products, let's move on to the eyes. This month has been the most boring month when it comes to eye shadow. I have simply just been slapping on Maybelline's 24 hours Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze and Eternal Gold. First, they stay on forever. Second, they are easy to apply. I mainly apply them with my finger all over my lid. The On and On Bronze is my go to colour for everyday. It makes me look like I have spend some time in the morning applying makeup, but it's by no mean too much for school. The Eternal Gold one has been my favourite for parties together with Loreal's Gel Intenza Eyeliner in 02 Golen Black which is another January favourite. They go perfectly together and add a bit of glam to my face. Also, it's an easy look. As every beauty blogger and youtuber, I've been obsessed with the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection  concealer. It's cheap and works. What more can you ask for? My colour is fair. The last makeup item for January is the MAC Blush in Tenderling. This blush is AMAZING. It adds a tiny bit of colour yet it is barely noticable. It has pretty much been the only blush I've worn in January.

I only have two beauty products to add to my favourite this month. Again, time hasn't been on my side this month and I just haven't had the time to pamper myself. But the two products I have to show you have been my lifesavers. First, the Soap and Glory Flake Away  salt scrub has made my legs feel silky smooth and made it easier to shave. Also, the smell is amazing. The next product is The Body Shop's Warming Mineral Mask.  It has really helped to clear up my skin, and it just felt lovely to apply it in while it snowed outside.

My favourite scent this month was Marc Jacob's Daisy. I LOVE it. 'Nough said.

Two random things are my Journal. The Q&A a day five year journal is definetely a January favourite. To be limited to two lines is a challenge, but the idea to answer one question a day and answer the same question next year on the same date is fun. Imagine how different your answers might be just a year after. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire had me hooked this month. I read it in a day. It's a YA Romance, as you might have expected if you have been reading my blog for a while. I must admit, I like the main male character. HE HAS TATTOO'S. I think that's a good reason to like someone :D Haha.

If you want to know how most of the makeup products look like, then I have a tutorial on my blog in which most of the makeup is used. You can check it out here

What is your January favourite?

What's on my Bookshelf?

I am a very curious person and I enjoy nothing more than to look through other people's bookshelves. Books say so much about people, and their personality. Also, I like to get inspired by what people read. There might be a book in their collection that I will love.

My collection is still growing. I've read some books that I do not own. You get a really good impression of my book taste - haha. There's mostly YA Romance, some Paranormal and etc. I do enjoy others as well.

What can be found on your bookshelf?

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

I got this one from two of my best friends. It has been on my wishlist for so long. Mainly because of the mixed review, how people claimed that the main characters are fucked up and the amount of violence the book should include. I was so excited to read it, I mean. The book definetely was not as expected. There wasn't much violence (at least not to the expected degree), nor was the characters fucked up.

Anyhow, even though it wasn't as expected, I liked it. Well, I more than liked. I didn't put the book down and had read in less than a day. Wuhu. Abby and Travis are both very round and deep. Once you think you know what they'll do, they do something different. I quite like that.

Also, the rest of the characters were to my liking. I loved America, since she's very strong. I loved how America's relationship fit into the story. Jamie McGuire managed to include them in a way that made them a necessary part of the story.

FINALLY A GUY WITH TATTOOS. I LOVE TATTOOS. This was my first thought when reading it. Travis is, the way I imagined him exactly my cup of tea. Maybe that's another reason I love the story so much.

The plot was good. It's one of those where the bad boy gets saved by a girl who's oh so different. As mentioned, not much violence was going on. At least not the kind I had thought. He wasn't violent towards Abby, which was the idea I had gotten.

I was however a bit disapointed with the end. I had hoped Abby wouldn't have been as spontanous as she was. But that's just me.

All in all, if you like bad boy gets saved stories, then PICK this up.

I am going back to drooling over Travis.
See you all soon.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

I've wanted the the clinique chubby sticks, but the price is too expensive for my taste. I therefore nearly peed myself when I saw that Revlon had something similair on the market. My luck was that I was going to London in September and therefore could pick them up. The price is about £7 if I remember right, which is much better than the clinique chubby ones.
If you're like me, then you like it easy for everyday use. Therefore a balm is perfect (I am addicted to lip balms) and a balm with vert good colour payoff is even better. These are perfect and I regret I only bought one.

The colour above is Honey Douce. Which is a lovely warm but neutral pink and could fit under the category your lips but better. Ergo, perfect for everyday use. They stay on your lips for a good amount of time, as long as you don't eat or drink.  It is easy to apply so I don't see a problem with that. The texture is just like a lip balm, which is perfect.

I am really impressed with the colour I own, I can however not say that all colours are the same texture as this one. If you think Cliniques' is too expensive, then give this one a go (:

FOTN: Saturday

This was my party look saturday, I did a lighter version of a smokey eye, and held everything else pretty neutral. My earrings are from a shop called glitter and I bought them for less than £2 on sale. I truly love them. I wore my Guns'n'Roses tank, a black cardigan and some jeans.

Winter Wonderland

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow.

Denmark is covered in white. It has been snowing over the last few days and I thought I'd post some pretty pictures of how it looks, since I love it.

Do you have snow where you live?

New Years Eve

Happy New Year.

I hope you've come safe into the new year. Hopefully the best year so far, but only the stars know.
I thought I'd do a quick post with a few pictures of the evening. The picture below is my sister's eye makeup which I was allowed to make that night. It was a smikey eye, but a but lighter. :p Haha, worst desription ever. And I did both my sister's hair as well.

My new years nails. H&M's nailpolish and the silver is from a brand called depend.

Not so pretty, haha. I wasn't drunk though.

Am I Italian yet?

This has to be the best homemade dinner I've managed to make while living alone for two years.
I am not much of cook. Even if I was, my tiny kitchen wouldn't allow me to make something fancy. In the end, I end up eating (wholewheat) bread, a salad with meat or nothing pretty much everyday. Not very healthy, and let's not speak about how boring it tastes after a while.
Also my time doesn't allow me to spend hours in the kitchen and if I want to make something a tad more advanced than bread I do it in the weekends.

As a student, I have to be very careful with how much I spend and I cannot afford to buy take-away everyday, but I still crave pizza. I therefore decided to make a pizza calzone for myself.
I didn't have very high hopes, but it tasted deliscious and was worth the time it took to make. (Barely any, haha) Maybe there is a cook to be found somewhere inside of me - hidden.

So since it wasn't expensive or hard to make, I thought I'd share how it is made. But in the end, I am sure most of you know how. There's no amount written, because I prefer to cook without it. Also, you can change the ingredients to your liking. :D

What you need:
pizza dough,
canned tomatos,
garlic,
spaghetti,
bell pebber,
mushrooms,
ham,
cheese,
oregano.

If you're lazy like me, you'll buy the dough. Go for a healthier option if possible, and take a whole wheat pizza dough. But, in the end I'd recommend you make it yourself.

Cook your spaghetties as you normally would. Add the canned tomatoes in a pan, while the spaghettis cook. Let the tomatoes get warm. Clean and chop the bell pebber & mushrooms into pieces. - As big or small as you like. - Add garlic to the tomatoes, use as much as you like. Taste it to see if there's enough garlic in it. Add bell pebbers, mushrooms, ham and oregano and let it simmer.
If the spaghetties are done, remove the water and add them to the pan.
Put the dough on a baking sheet and put the spaghetti sauce mixture on the dough. Make sure you do not place it in the middle and that you can fold the dough over when you're done.
Add the cheese on top of the spaghetties and fold the dough over.
Add some oregano to the top if you want.

Put it in the oven and wait till it's finished. (use the time that's stated on the dough (if bought) or in the recipe that you used for the dough.

Viola, there you have your homemade calzone. Enjoy your meal.

FOTD: Christmas.

Hello

A little, and maybe not too pretty picture of the makeup I wore Christmas eve.

The makeup is pretty much the same as the Gold, Easy Makeup Look I blogged about recently, just with a lighter lip and a not so gold shimmering eyeshadow.

And no, I wasn't wearing a onesie on christmas eve. I had just recieved the onesie and tried it on :D
Have a lovely day.

xx, Natascha

Gold Easy Makeup Look

I wore this look for a party a while back and it is honestly the easiest makeup look, and still it looks classy and pretty.

What to do:

Eyes
  • Apply gold eyeshadow all over lid. I used
  • Then apply your eyeliner over your eyes, you can change the thickness according to your eyes. If you want a cat eye look, then go for it.
  • Put on your favourite mascara.
  • Apply false lashes (optional and not done on the picture)

Face

  • Apply your foundation
  • Apply concealer under your eyes, around your nose and areas where needed.
  • Apply a blush. It should be a blush without too much colour.
  • Powder your T-Zone and where you applied concealer.

 Lips

  • Apply a lip balm (can be done before you even start applying any kind of makeup)
  • Put on your lipstick. The colour is optional, but a red would fit well.

The thing under my lips is my piercing :D
And you are done. As easy as that.
Everyone can do this look, I promise.

Here are the products I used:

Eyeshadow: Maybelline Color Tattoo in 05-Eternal Gold
Eyeliner: L'OREAL Gel Intenza Eyeliner in Golden Black
Mascara: Maxfactor False Lash Effect Fusion Volume and Length
Foundation: bareMinerals Originals in Fairly Light N10
Concealer: The foundation was just applied thicker where needed.
Blush: MAC in the shade Tenderling & Barry M in the shade Blusher 1
Powder: bareMinerals Mineral Veil
Lips: Barry M lipstick in TMLP and the number is gone but it is the green one (:

I hope you enjoyed it and I'd like to know how it went if you try to recreate it.

xx, Natascha
